You did good Citizen Skein...very good "show and tell"! I am twice your age, life-long New Yorker, licensed as a tour guide these past two years, and frankly, I am very impressed. Good reporting. Especially since you concentrated on good content, and not a lot of the weird, self-absorbed stuff bloggers get "blogged down" with. I found out about your blog from the very highly esteemed Justin Ferate, and glad to have checked it out. Thank you, I'll come back for more! Tom O.
Tom, I really appreciate the kind words of encouragement. I've been slacking with the posts but will make an effort to post more frequently. I've got a B.Arch from the Cooper Union and have been doing building code and zoning consulting for over 8 years. I enjoy what I do and can't help but share some pictures of our fair city's amazing urban fabric.
I'm surprised I didn't know of Mr. Ferate's tours/work; thanks for the tip. I love passion and a good storyteller; seems like my kind of guy. For those keeping track of comments at home (that would be my father and wife), you can read a nice write up on Justin Ferate here:
Please make sure you click on pictures for full awesomeness.
Mission Statement
I'm often in big buildings and frequently snap a quick picture of the view. My mission is to bring these views to the people. And because I like fireworks, I'm including some pictures from the 4th of July. Woot!
